Summer Project: Wilkins Home makeover

So this summer is going to be full of updates to our house.  Painting all ceilings, walls and new trim.  Plus redoing the kichen and bathroom cabinets.  The projects are well on their way.  I will give you a few before shots but stay tuned for the after pics.

Talent Show

Morgan was in the 5th grade talent show. 

Her and her friend Courtney sang 'Popular' from the musical Wicked.

They did awesome and don't they look all grown up!  Eek!

A Little Behind

Spring was a bit hectic so I haven't stayed up with the blog so great.  I will try to do a short version.

 A couple of posts ago I mentioned that my grandpa was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.  He passed away April 7th.  It was very quick but he didn't suffer so that was a huge praise.  Well, we have been working on the garden all summer trying to do the best that we can.  Grandpa has always had a garden and is usually the talk of the neighborhood so we wanted to make him proud.

End of year sleepover!

This is the 3rd annual end of year sleepover. 

 So a bunch of now 6th graders went bowling because

'summer vacation is right up our alley'

and then ended with a sleepover.

Grandpa's Garden

As long as I can remember, my grandpa has had a garden.  He was diagnosed with cancer in March so we are helping out with the garden this year.

I have very little experiece planting a garden.  (I can eat the veggies with the best of them though!)  Fortunately, Guy has a little.  We are just hoping that we get a few veggies.  We won't have grandpa's touch so we'll see.



Peach Cobbler

Morgan made supper for us (mostly) by herself tonight.
