Grandpa's Garden

As long as I can remember, my grandpa has had a garden.  He was diagnosed with cancer in March so we are helping out with the garden this year.

I have very little experiece planting a garden.  (I can eat the veggies with the best of them though!)  Fortunately, Guy has a little.  We are just hoping that we get a few veggies.  We won't have grandpa's touch so we'll see.

Peach Cobbler

Morgan made supper for us (mostly) by herself tonight.

Tortilla soup and

peach cobbler.  Yum!  She did a great job.

Granny's Birthday

For Granny's birthday we went bowling and had a fish fry!

Happy Birthday Granny!

American Girl Store

Two years in a row now, on January 1st, we have headed to Overland Park, KS to the American Girl Store.  Last year the store was crowded but not a problem to get in.  This year we had a 45 min. wait just to get in to the store!

Teacher Appreciation

Teacher Appreciation is next week and I like Morgan to take a little something everyday to her teacher(s).  So I found some great, practical ideas from some of my favorite blogs.  Here are a few ideas.

These post it note holders were super easy and soooo cute!!

Another easy and great idea!

This one is actually mine.  That is one of our fun bags that we make in our school colors.  I also used my cricut and cut out the teacher's initial on white vinyl for the water bottle (they spend a lot of time at the ball field).  I had a friend embroider her initial on the beach towel with her embroidery machine (thanks Donna)  Hopefully she can get a lot of uses out of all three.

So that's it.  A little something for everyday of the week to appreciate our teachers.
